Primary Responsibility:
Demand creation for Consumer Products: Gather market opportunity information in entire Asia region, except for Japan, and visit key accounts regularly to promote IR's consumer products and understand customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Study market trends and information to find new opportunities for IR's Consumer Products in Asia region.
- Visit key accounts regularly to promote IR's Consumer Products, win mind share, understand customer needs and follow up on design in activities.
- Generate new product opportunities and work with Application Engineers and Marketing to justify and generate new product development projects
- Support Consumer Products marketing activities such as Product Plan generation, product launch activities, field training material generation and promotional slide generation.
- Review relevant market data. Generate and maintain database on market trends, customer activities and market opportunity data.
Requirements:
- BSEE or MSEE/MEEE or equivalent experience
- 3 years or more of IC product marketing experience or application engineering experience
- Technical and market knowledge in one or more consumer application, e.g. lighting, audio, display, SMPS etc.
- Skilled in market data gathering, database management and data analysis
- Accomplished in promotional slide generation
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills

SCOPE:
Responsibility: Asia + ROW
Primarily responsible for answering Asia technical queries, which include technical and design inquires focusing in the areas of IR's Control IC technology devices such as Xphase™, iPOWIR™, Lighting IC's, Low Voltage IC's, iMOTION™ HVIC's as well as all new CIC Technology. Support online and telemarketing activities to help secure new customers, new orders and essential design wins. The candidate will help align internal and external resources - which will result in a high level of end customer technical satisfaction. Other responsibilities will include maintaining department measurables and analyzing problems and recommending corrective actions or solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
- To present a high standard of answers relating to questions from the end customer via Website / Telephone/ Email inquiries and occasional customer visits - reference to product specifications and applications
- Queries include product selections / product specifications / part numbers / package outlines / cross references / material information / reliability standards and basic applications
- Stay up to date with IR's latest technologies and product offerings
- Be responsible for all escalated enquires and assignment of inquires to suitable regions
- Close the Loop on New incremental business
- Provide technical training to IR sales and service personnel (assist with supervision and presentation)
- Gathering database material for publishing periodically metrics required by management to help set strategic roadmaps for marketing / sales and R&D
- Provide technical and new design support for IR products
- Establish and develop relationships with key customer engineering personnel and decision-makers
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Experience within applications engineering or technical support
- Knowledge of customer(s) and application(s) in IR's focus markets, specifically IC's
- Highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills
- Excellent English communication skills (written & oral). Mandarin language is a must.
- Ability to work in a Team oriented environment
- PC literate - Windows application essential
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BSEE or equivalent industry related qualification
- Comprehensive experience (>3years) using power electronic devices
- Application engineering background
